In this time of the pandemic, with proper hygiene and social distancing, it is also important to keep our immunity system strong and healthy.
So there are some common foods that act as immunity boosters. These foods are easily available and one can consume it daily.
So what are basically "immunity boosters"? Immunity boosters are foods that help the immune system to fight any kind of infection.
The foods are as follows:
• Watermelon:
It is not only a refreshing fruit but it also contains a good amount of an antioxidant known as glutathione. This antioxidant helps to strengthen the immune system so it can fight infection.
•Wheat germ:
The nutritious heart of the wheat seed is rich in zinc, antioxidant Vitamin E and B vitamins.
Zinc and Vitamin E helps to boost the immunity to fight against infection.
•Yoghurt:
Probiotics found in yoghurt helps to keep our immunity strong and away from infections.
•Sweet Potato:
It is a good source of Beta-carotene, so this not only boosts our immune system but also good for our heart, teeth and vision.
•Pomegranate:
It contains two antioxidants that are Vitamin C and Vitamin E which help to prevent illness and fight off infection. It also contains antibacterial and antiviral properties.
•Garlic:
The kitchen stable condiment not only gives great flavour to food but also contain a compound called allicin which helps to reduce inflammation and also acts as an antioxidant. Hence, boosting our immune system.
•Ginger:
Firstly, it contains an antibacterial property that helps to boost immunity and it also helps to expel free radicals from the body.
So, if we incorporate the foods mentioned above in our diet then we can easily boost our immunity during this pandemic.
