What is tuberculosis? Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that usually affects the lungs, though it can affect any organ in the body. It can develop when bacteria spread through droplets in the air. TB can be fatal, but in many cases, it is preventable and treatable. A person may develop TB after inhaling Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) bacteria. There are two types of tuberculosis are as follows:  1. TB infection (latent TB): A person can have TB bacteria in their body and never develop symptoms. In most people, the immune system can contain the bacteria so that they do not replicate and cause disease. In this case, a person will have TB infection but not active disease. 2. TB disease (active TB): The body may be unable to contain TB bacteria. This is more common when the immune system is weakened due to illness or the use of certain medications. UMAMI: THE FIFTH TASTE

  Introduction: The special sense that perceives and distinguishes the sweet, sour, bitter, or salty quality of a dissolved substance and is mediated by taste buds on the tongue. There are five universally accepted basic tastes that stimulate and are perceived by our taste buds: sweet, salty, sour, and bitter and umami. Functions of tongue: Taste buds are sensory organs that are found on your tongue and allow experiencing tastes. Taste buds have very sensitive microscopic hairs called microvilli. Those tiny hairs send messages to the brain about how something tastes. The average person has about 10,000 taste buds and they're replaced every 2 weeks or so. But as a person ages, some of those taste cells don't get replaced. An older person may only have 5,000 working taste buds. That's why certain foods may taste stronger to someone than others. WOOD APPLE: A FRUIT WITH FUNKY SMELL

Introduction: Botanically known as Aegle marmelos, Wood Apple is inherent to India but also found in Thailand, Sri Lanka and other regions of Southern part of Asia. Wood Apple is considered to be sacred since it has been cultivated in India for more than 4000 years. It is also known as bael fruit.  Fruit is globosely and spherical in shape. The shell is gray to green in color which later on turns into pale yellow. As the shell is very hard, it is cracked with hammer or machete. The pulp inside the fruit is very aromatic and fibrous. It contains resinous hairy seeds which are covered with mucilage. The pulp tastes like marmalade but tangy and slightly astringent having aroma of rose.
